Pros

Fun people to work with, light-hearted and keep things fun. Flexible with time off and special requests. Most people will answer your questions and offer help if you're having trouble with some situations. Benefits are really nice, with a lot of different options. Never work weekends. Employee discounts on parts is extremely nice. You received a jacket or sweatshirt at Christmas, a $50 gift card and there's a gift swap at the end of the year.

Cons

There are no other bonuses. Inside Sales is nearly 85% incoming calls with no incentives and no bonuses. You make no commission but will handle 100+ calls with customers of varying difficulty and make some cold calls. Customers constantly call at the end of the day, so you're often late leaving. There is no training at all, I had to just ask the other ISC's what I should be doing, but when it's busy, you have no time to learn. There was also very little training on the computer programs you use. They handle thousands of different products, so unless you've worked in the industry, there is a substantial learning curve learning which products they stock, which needs to be special ordered ect. Management is minimal and extremely passive. As a driver, the parent company uses Keystone to deliver salvage parts and you are often presented with conflicting information that delays the routes.

Pros

Pay was OK I was told I was getting 15 a hour but they never gave me my online access to view my pay stub after asking numerous times. some co workers are really nice other's are emotional wrecks that get angry if you ask a question.

Cons

If you're a driver forget about lunch breaks you will not have time to take one I always packed a cooler filled with food and water. Management has no clue on what they're doing sales staff promises their customers the best parts so be prepared to deal with angry customers who will take it out on you when you deliver them a NIQ or C grade part they also tell drivers to check parts before loading what's the point if you make them deliver it anyways? Happened many times. Also returns are always a pain I always had to pick up keystone & LKQ returns I soon realized I was the only one doing this so I stopped picking up keystone returns and only did Lkq (why isn't the keystone driver doing it!) All their box vans need maintenance you fill out a sheet detailing what's wrong with your box van but nothing ever gets done till it catches fire or blows a engine. The paper work you have to do (manifest, invoices, return paper work) wasn't so bad at first but they keep changing the way it got done so it would be easier on accounting. Every Thursday they held a driver meeting in the break room all the meetings are the same! Nothing new ever gets said unless they're changing paperwork procedure and they run long! Let us get back to work in hopes we can make good time to actually stop and eat or be home before 8! ATTN new drivers beware of other drivers putting their invoices in your box leaving you with their work!

Pros

None. The only good thing about this company was some of the other lower level staff. Who also hate their job.

Cons

Turnover is extremely high within the company due to low pay and horrible management. Since turnover is high no one ever knows what they are doing and the staff that is there gets more and more piled on them. Hard work and long hours are not recognized. When you leave for a waaaay better opportunity HR will treat you like crap and will suck every penny out of your last pay check. Benefits will be canceled the day you quit instead of at the end of the month (or even pay period) like any decent company. But you will owe the full amount for your premium even if you only work 2 days in your last pay period. I've never worked for a company that has valued employees so little. I heard it said many times that LKQ would rather have low paid entry level employees instead of retaining long term employees that have to be paid more. The whole atmosphere of the company is extremely negative.
