Pros

Company culture is collaborative and friendly. Low stress and pressure. Teamwork is emphasized. Potential to telework. Benefits are solid.

Cons

Like all consulting work, winning and or maintaining contracts is key. No strategic bench of SMEs, due to cost of same being billed as overhead

Pros

Ability to work part time after having a baby and keep your job with part time pay and hours. This is virtually unheard of in the consulting world.

Cons

No team spirit. Very easy to become disengaged with the revolving door of people leaving and new people getting hired. If you work off site it's hard to keep in touch with the people in your org that aren't at your client site.

Pros

The people here are fantastic: very smart, social, and everyone cares about the group. Work is never cutthroat and a work-life balance is supported and promoted. The work is interesting and the clients are, generally, fun to work with. I can 100% say that the staff tries their best to provide all clients with the best work possible. The public good focus is real and important to staff.

Cons

Not much of a career path for younger professionals. There could be (and it's being promised) but it's clearly not a priority for senior management. A priority has definitely been hiring more Vice Presidents and giving themselves salary bumps and bonus. It's disgusting. The best senior managers have been leaving or hostilely pushed out the door by the horrible "leaders" in office. It's sad. They will have to adjust soon in order to keep the great staff in place.
