      Dedicated employees, disconnected upper management

      Pros

      Have great employees, many long term, who are dedicated to providing high quality work for the public sector. Benefits are good but have been significantly reduced over the last 5 years. Stay there because I enjoy the people I work with and feel I'm fairly compensated.

      Cons

      Company culture has changed dramatically with the current CEO, and not for the better. The CEO is disconnected from the staff; doesn't know how to be a leader or how to motivate the workforce. A recent reorganization in October has resulted in disorganization and taking the focus away from doing the work that staff should be concentrating on. Some key, well respected employees have left the company recently due to a lack of confidence in senior leadership.

      A company comprised of great people

      Pros

      This consulting firm is unique in that its people have confidence and humility, and deep pride in serving government institutions in the States and abroad. The atmosphere is respectful and collegial. People focus on client needs, and tend to have a good work-life balance. Leaders on the highest levels are committed to excellence. The projects are diverse.

      Cons

      Typical growing pains, but, in a sense they do not compare to feeling like a cog in the wheel in one of the big consulting firms, or having to wear a lot of different hats in a small. Lots of change, but it is moving in the right direction.

      Great corporate culture! Great pay & benefits.

      Cons

      Current organizational realignment may result in a lot of changes within the coming years. But this may be pro in the long run as they strive for growth.
