Pros

Fully remote (pre- pandemic) Caring immediate managers Great, supportive teams

Cons

Upper management does not consider the needs and input of main staff or first line management. Constant, competing and shifting priorities mean all and none are important high pressure environment pay for performance is not honored, though constant output at ever increasing pace is always expected. Also, volunteer... Does nothing but add uncompensated work to your plate. The valued "consultative approach" is not implemented internally. New initiatives, responsibilities and tighter SLAs are pushed upon employees without any consultation or listening tours. Long time employees are not compensated as well as new hires and they know it and resent it.

Pros

Company is trying to show they value employees with perks and also monetary bonuses. Company is willing to help you advance your career. Company D&I is getting better each year. Culture is beginning to be very employee-centered.

Cons

Lower than average pay. They expect you to keep up with an insane workload. Way too many AVP's and VP's and not enough workers. Worried about the bottom line more than anything. They charge advisors too many fees.
