Pros

A good learning opportunity at a nationally recognized broker/dealer.

Cons

Disorganized department. Training platform for practicing daily activities was down for the entirety of the training, and no one seemed to care. Was charged with the responsibility of repapering accounts despite spending about five minutes discussing the process first.

Pros

Peers and management in the department are great! Plethora of resources to help you do your job.

Cons

For the size and strength of LPL, I was surprised my department was so discombobulated. Lots of initiatives to simultaneously improve the advisor experience and streamline internal processes but they are not planned out thoroughly and every single initiative while I was there ended up with more work being put on your plate. They are really struggling with keeping a full staff which just compounds the issue mentioned above.
