Pros

I worked at LPL through the economy bottoming out in 2008 and 2009. LPL stayed afloat...it can only get better as we move away from the financial crisis. LPL is going public. Is that a good thing?

Corporate atmosphere with slow moving change.

Good Income Nice Location Many different ways to obtain position at LPL If a person has the type of personality that fits into a typical brokerage type environment then you will feel comfortable. The dress attire is formal business, business suits and ties.

Cons

Job Titles are very important Lack of communication Unorganized management and decisions Alot of office politics High employee turnover Managers are often oblivious to reality and easily offended by everything. I stayed out of the drama but I was able to witness the drama on a regular basis. I went to work everyday with my stomach in knots. The good salary simply was not enough to make me want to stay.

Management can do whatever they want rather it is fair or not. They violate and regulate laws and have no consequences to pay. Pay is unfair.
