Never have I been a part of a company and team with such a poor culture. Let me start by saying, there are some great people at LVT but there are also some really not so great people. The company has spent a lot of money hiring top talent. The real question is, can they keep them? In my experience, I never experienced so much unnecessary drama and back biting. The culture is cutthroat. Some individuals are willing to step on you to get to where they want. Leadership is subpar at best. Moral is low with the hiring of a new sales leader who explicitly has said that he leads with fear. Like I said, there are still some good people but how long will they stay? Unfortunately the overall culture is not great due to a few bad apples that ruin it for everybody else.
The benefits are fine. Nothing special. Nothing that says "we care about you as employees". It definitely feels more like "we are doing this cause we have to, to meet market standards". It seems like cost cutting is at the forefront here. This makes raises hard to come by. They pride themselves on not giving annual raises. The idea is you can get a raise anytime you deserve it, but top performers are never proactively given raises, you have to ask for it and that's never a guarantee.
If you're looking for a tech company that cares about you and your family, this is not the company for you. Time after time, it was discouraged to take the needed time for your family. Customers come first, your family comes second. I never felt like my manager truly cared about me as a person. It mostly felt like I was there to make them look good and that's it.
Keep in mind, this is a 5 days in office, collared shirts operation. Leadership made comments about walking around the office and noticing who is working and who is not. There is an overall lack of trust between leadership and their employees.
