Pros

The product was very interesting and fun to work on. Worked with several people that were very talented and a joy to work with.

Cons

Unfortunately, for me there were more cons than pros - Worked with several people that I would characterize as being the opposite of "a joy to work with". Many of them held high-ranking positions within the tech organization. Personally witnessed very unprofessional comments being made in tech organization-wide meetings, multiple times, with no indication that the individuals responsible ever received any appropriate correction from the CTO. - Tech teams underwent a "re-org". Did not take the opinions of senior developers into account when deciding what new teams should be and killed team cohesion. In my opinion, the new teams were less effective than the old ones. - Noticed multiple "false starts", where the product org would roll out a half-baked feature request, developers would start working on it, and then the project would either be cancelled or the feature would be unused upon delivery. - Lots of talk about wanting to address tech debt, but huge resistance if someone came up with a concrete plan to tackle it. - Encountered toxic politics, with leadership attempting to sabotage others to advance their own agendas. - Mandated employees to spend specific days each week in the office (despite same employees being productive for months when working from home due to Covid). An especially annoying aspect of this was that the Sunset HQ had insufficient parking, so if you came in "on time" then good luck finding a spot close to the building.

Pros

Product is cool. Bright future for product.

Cons

Brace yourself for a compensation nightmare. Securing your hard-earned commissions is an uphill battle. It’s blatant at this point. Ironically, the bigger the deal you close, the slimmer your chances of getting paid. The payout cycle is a joke – it takes a whopping 9 months to receive full payment on closed deals. To add insult to injury, commissions are tracked on a spreadsheet that may or may not be shared, depending on management’s whims. LVT shamelessly and constantly flaunts its HEFTY profit margins while systematically shortchanging its sales force. The CFO’s behavior is particularly egregious, blocking communication with reps and instructing staff to ignore commission inquiries. This blatant disregard for salespeople’s rightful earnings is shocking and probably warrants investigation. It’s no wonder LVT’s top performers from previous years have jumped ship. The company’s inability to properly compensate and appreciate its revenue drivers is appalling. Instead of handsomely rewarding those who bring in the most business, LVT seems intent on wearing down its sales team through a grueling commission collection process. It’s literally theft at this point. Knowingly withholding wages - not a great look. And word is getting out. This shortsighted approach not only demoralizes the current sales force but also jeopardizes LVT’s future success. By mistreating its key revenue generators, the company risks losing more top talent and tarnishing its reputation in the industry.

Pros

Benefits were good. Base pay was strong.

Cons

I can only speak to to a sales position, but this list is so incredibly long. Terrible leadership. Goaling has never been more off in my career. To any tech professional I would advise you to find a different opportunity. I share this to help other folks down the road considering working for this company.
