Covance is a good work environment with good peeps but lots of antiquated processes and platforms.
Pros
Support from line managers is great Pay is pretty good General 'happy' feeling from most all personnel Scheduling is normally in CRA's hands, and company supports this in most cases Paid time off is pretty decent Line managers generally very responsive and huge ally when it comes to issues and resourcing
Cons
Often PMs and Leads don't understand clinical and/or data management pieces well enough to support a team of CRAs Technology is behind on a number of levels (CTMS, TMF, expense reporting) which makes extra work across the board Numerous things requested if on-the-road CRAs that could easily be done by in-house personnel Bases promotions on years of experience and not necessarily quality of work and knowledge of job Allocations often don't consider the full scope of work that you're expected to do
