Pros

solid, stable company with strong financial outlook; friendly, intelligent people create a positive atmosphere; there are a lot of opportunities for free training, including pre-leadership development, conferences, seminars; they offer 5 free sessions with a job coach; it's a nice work environment, clean and comfortable; they wll go out of their way to give employees the resources they need to do their jobs; great benefits, they match your contribution to your 401k up to 6% of your salary; they offer a reasonable amount of paid time off, 25 days per year sick and vacation time rolled in together; many people who leave the company end up coming back, that says a lot

Cons

very hierarchical, lots of red tape to make decisions, not flexible about telecommuting, projects are very rushed, not planned in advance, senior management is sometimes overworked and seems burnt out

Pros

The best reason to work for Labcorp is the experience your get. It's probaby a good starting place before you go to work at a hospital. You get a lot of practice as a phlebotomist due to the high volume of patients. The PTO is comparable to other places maybe even better. You get 144 hours to start off with then you get more after 5 years. The people I've worked with have been great. The staff is not the problem. I think it's the upper management. My co workers and I thing that they are so concerned with cost cutting and making more money that they forget about their employees.

Cons

Everyone is overworked as a lab technician. When someone goes on vacation, you will rarely get any help so you have to get ready to be on your own without help from management. There are clinics that have just one staff member to handle a room full of grouchy and impatient patients. Most don't even have time to take breaks anymore. More tasks are always added without getting any raises. I know people who've worked there for more than 10 years that have gotten less than a two dollar raise that whole time. Higher management just don't get it. Too much like working at a fast food place.

Pros

It's some form of income...... I guess it's better than making nothing. Emphasis on the word guess.

Cons

Where to start? Low pay, benefits always scaled back, constant lay-offs, difficulty moving up (due to a surplus of dead-end jobs), management seems to be persons promoted due to other managers tired of dealing with their stupidity. Just overall a miserable place to work. Worker morale is low in most parts of the company.
