Lactalis is an international company that provides access to an immense amount of useful information. I love the global companies commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Cons

Not a family friendly environment. Current leadership does not provide the tools or time to comply with the standards set by Lactalis.

Pros

Above average pay and great benefits, also good opportunities for advancement to supervision. Since this the only union plant, pay, benefits and conditions are way better than the other american plants.

Cons

If the pay was any less, there would be even a higher turnover rate than there already is. They work you hard, its high stress and they treat supervision worse than workers. No one wants to go to supervision because they pay more for healthcare and get a lesser package and only make a little more than hourlies. Almost no one advances to management anymore. they are friends and family brought in from the outside. If you used to work at the old clinton road plant (that merged here}, you are taken care of and can do no wrong, because the plant manager and human resources manager came from there. A lot of favoritism and nepotism. You will work most holidays and every weekend because they never shutdown except x-mas eve.
