Great community of colleagues, rewarding and engaging work, flexible work schedule.

Cons

Students are challenging and complex, which can be difficult at times. Long hours required if you are going to do the work well.

Pros

Great colleagues, quasi-decent work-life balance but supervisor is inconsistent about applying it

Cons

Fairly large salary discrepancy among advisors - recent hires without a master's degree and no experience are making 10-15% more than others. President is unhinged and jokes about the college's tuition paying for another one of his sports cars and his almost $500k salary. Most of the admins are pulling in 200k+ salaries and bonuses while others are left paycheck to paycheck. Benefits and insurance are extremely expensive when compared to neighboring employers.
