Pros

Great colleagues, genuinely nice people to work with (at the lower levels in the company) You learn what to look look out for in your next job (lots of red flags I should have spotted before joining)

Cons

Management create a horrible toxic environment to work in. Constant promises of changes based on feedback received, but nothing ever changes. They (top level) are in each others pockets, and must feel there's no reason to change. Employees can just be replaced. Please don’t settle for any toxic, fear-based organisations; it’s not good for your professional development, health, and energy. There are many options; take advantage of them because you deserve better, and you deserve to work in an environment that helps you become the best version of yourself.

Fun and challenging

Pros

Great team that is solving real world challenges on a big scale. It feels good to be helping to make education better in a highly focussed way. Growing rapidly and winning awards while having fun - what's not to like.

Cons

Growing company with the challenges that come with that, means it's not always smooth sailing. People who are passionate about what they do so it can sometimes lead to professional disagreements. Having significant numbers of users can add pressure if things go wrong.
