Ledcor pipelines governs their employees through fear mongering and threats. On a near daily basis, project managers would threaten to fire people in an attempt to control them. The office culture perpetuates toxic masculinity and male dominance, with frequent lewd comments about women and their sub-ordinance to men. As a man, I did not escape ridicule from my cooworkers for simply being liberally minded. My values, my ideas, my clothes and even music choices were slammed by co-workers and managers. My year working with Ledcore pipelines was one of the most emotionally and mentally challenging of my life. I'm no stranger to construction and industrial sites, but in this job I faced a new level of discomfort and discrimination. When my manager left and I was offered his position, Ledcor failed to acknowledge my double duties, did not give me a new title or increased salary. They strung me along for months until winter came and they had used me up.
