Pros

Generally, the staff you work with is competent. Multiple campuses with ample opportunity to find your preferred specialty.

Cons

Management frequently does not support the bedside nurse; generally, a "do as I say" environment. Benefits are average. Strong push for advanced degrees in nursing; however, tuition reimbursement/scholarship amounts are poor with steep repayment terms (example: LMHS paid for half a graduate class in exchange for one year work commitment, wow! ) Additionally, no compensation for advanced degrees once obtained. A colleague was told, "...hey, you get to keep your current job..." My colleague formerly did her job with an associate degree, she now has a master's. No change in compensation, but $40k in student debt.

Pros

My coworkers were amazing

Cons

That is the only pro about Lee Health I can think of. I left Lee county for a move up north and didn't truly comprehend how horrible the pay is at Lee Health until I started my new position. Also, management is atrocious. They promote friends instead of someone who may be better qualified for the position. They also have no issue with letting staff go and calling you off for shifts, so I wouldn't consider them reliable income.

Pros

Great community to work with and support and good pay for the area

Cons

Management has no leadership and they rule in fear, unfortunately the employees are far from team players and there is a lot of back stabbing. If you can maintain professional and not any relationships other than professional your good, not a good place also to move up in your career as they hold you down and dislike re hiring if promoted.
