Pros
I've worked for 3 different health systems in the Portland Metro area over the 25 years I've been in healthcare. Legacy is unique in that the overall culture is positive, and for the most part, staff seem happy. If you have an idea that may improve costs, or patient care, management has been very supportive of seeing that you get the resources you need and/ or studies done to make it happen. They are also supportive, and encouraging continuing or advancing your education. All in all, a great place to work.
Cons
While it's probably not unique to just Legacy- but all health systems- the process of getting an interview is way too slow. After you apply for an open position on their website, you receive an email stating someone will get back to you in the next 1-2 weeks. I applied for the same open positions across 3 of the hospitals in the system, and didn't get a call from HR for about 7 weeks. I was also rejected via email for one of the 3 positions for "not being qualified", when I was actually interviewed and hired for the exact same position at another facility. Unless you're already working there, or know someone on the "inside", you can't follow up after submitting your CV.
