Pros
Salaried, some people are great. If you can “drink the kool-aid” devote every second of your life to be a company man, you’ll be set.
Cons
No personal life. Say goodbye to wife and kids(even in winter) Everyone understands in construction hours are longer. Some reviews say 40-60 hours per week, maybe in winter. In summer, I’d say you are NEVER really off the clock. At legacy, my phone rang from 5:30am to 10:30pm on a regular basis from homeowners to people in the office, even on Sunday. The crews doing the work are horrendous in my experience and I’ve been in the trades for over 20 years. Some reviews here, but on google especially are current employees they have to boost their rating, which to me is a bit dishonest. Bottom line is turnover is extremely high and if you don’t give them every second of your life, you’re out. If you are sales, and quit or let go, ALL your commissions belong to the company. Shady.
