Pros

Learning the ins and outs of exterior restoration Meeting co-workers that will stay long time friends Knowing how NOT to run a restoration company..... from the top down.

Cons

Purposely withheld information from all employees that were not at the highest level of management. Worked 60+ hours a week for what ended up being ZERO commissions, only dug deeper and deeper into the draw/debt to the company. Having to explain to homeowners OVER AND OVER AGAIN, why their projects were still not completed over 6 months after signing them up. Having meetings at 7am every Friday to "discuss problems", while none of them actually ever were taken care of. Fake management.... say one thing to your face, do the opposite behind your back. Entire business is run by greed, with one goal in mind: Hire 20+ guys to work FOR US (Not with us) each summer, fire every one of them later, collect all of their commissions. Honestly this list could go on and on here.... but if you are a prospective employee, customer, business partner, etc.... you should have gotten the picture by now. TURN AND RUN FROM THIS COMPANY! Let my mistake be the advice that saves you from making one too!

Thank you for taking the time to review our business. Legacy Restoration, LLC is a construction business that has been in business for over 5 + years and: - holds an A+ rating with the BBB - is an accredited business with the BBB - Platinum Preferred Contractor with Owens Corning (only 25 in the state of MN) - 2016 nominee for the BBB Torch Award for Ethics - awarded #83 in the Top 100 Roofers in America by Roofing Contractor Magazine - 4.5 out of 5 Stars with 143 reviews on Guild Quality - 4.3 out of 5 Stars with 38 reviews on Facebook - 4.3 out of 5 Stars with 23 reviews on Google These are not characteristics of a company of which you describe. It would be impossible to achieve these milestones if Legacy Restoration was such a company. Legacy was formed December 20th, 2011 under the name of Mullins Enterprises HTR, LLC until January 31, 2012 the name was changed to Legacy Restoration, LLC. It is not uncommon for a business name to change within the first 2-3 months of filing papers with the state. Please check the Minnesota Secretary of State website to confirm this information. This is not indicative of a company changing its name to run from past failures. To be sure, Legacy did not build its first job until May of 2012. It took Legacy some time to gather the appropriate contractor license and liability and workers comp insurance during the first few months of 2012. This is how the real business world works. Your characterization of Legacy Restoration is just flat out wrong. It is not uncommon for people to try and sell in this tough business and find out that you are not a good fit for this industry, the insurance restoration industry. There is no question that your paychecks cashed each pay period. You mentioned the draw/debt with the company. Were you asked to pay back your draw/debt when you left the company? No, you were not. Legacy pays their Sales Reps and takes on the risk of that Sales Rep to perform, all the while still providing compensation. Legacy Restoration would never ask a Sales Rep to leave the organization if they are able to keep up with their sales quota and conduct themselves in an ethical manner. Legacy Restoration understands that not everybody can make it in this industry. We wish you the best in your future endeavors

The Company Takes Months to Complete Work

Pros

Learning about the insurance and restoration business.

Cons

The company sells the job as an independent sales person, however, before you know it they are breathing down your neck that nothing is good enough and you need to work 70 hours a week, even though you are paying for your own expenses. On top of that, they intentionally drag their feet to complete client jobs so that they will not have to pay salespeople full commissions. They hire 20 or so people and then either let them go once they are about to pay back their draw and earn commission, or frustrate them so much by not completing work that the employees will quit. There are jobs that had been started in May-June of last year 2015, that are STILL not completed as of the beginning of April this year 2016. They have confirmed this by providing an updated commission statement that I had to ask multiple times for since October 2015.

There is no question that your paychecks cashed each pay period. A company would never "drag their feet" so they wouldn't have to pay their sales people. Legacy Restoration certainly does not do that. That logic is completely backwards, and truly shows your lack of business acumen. We want our Sales Reps to be the highest compensated employees at Legacy. And yes, our Sales Reps are indeed employees. Interesting that you would say that Legacy provided you with an updated commission statement. Why would an unethical company provide you with an updated commission statement? Legacy Restoration would never ask a Sales Rep to leave the organization if they are able to keep up with their sales quota and conduct themselves in an ethical manner. Legacy Restoration understands that not everybody can make it in this industry. We have a great bunch of employees who are rock solid! Our outlook for 2017 is beaming. We wish you the best in your future endeavors

Pros

Working outdoors and having decent draw pay

Cons

Work 60-80 hours a week using your own vehicle, your own gas. Never saw commission in the 7 months employed. They hired 20+ employees in the spring and then 95% of them quit or got fired in September. They work you to death and then fire you before you see the commissions.
