Pros

Legal Monkeys offers a young, fresh and exciting atmosphere to work in. The people of the company are overall fun to be around and the reason you want to come to work in the morning. Management is highly involved in your day to day work, making it easy to communicate any concerns or ask for help. The company offers good benefits along with paid time off and holiday pay. Starting wages are great for a college town. Management was very supportive of me leaving the company as I was leaving in order to take a position in a field that my degree is in. The company overall instills and expects a work ethic and skills that easily translate and are beneficial when transferring into a different position. I would recommend this company for anyone that is in a transition period coming out of school to people looking for a steady full time job that enjoys working for a company with a great culture.

Cons

One of the only short comings of working at Legal Monkeys is that they recently stated using a "pay for performance" type salary system which only allows for employees to become eligible for a raise annually. Some of the things that the company relies on to be successful, such as case managers at law firms and medical providers, are not things that employees have complete control over and can negatively affect the employee when it comes time to be evaluated for a raise the following year. But if you are successful there is potential for up to a $4 an hour pay raise dependent on the amount of time you have been with the company. The only reason I see this system as a con is due to the fact that it makes it more difficult to make a job here into a career.

Pros

There are so many pros to this job that it actually makes me upset that someone could allegedly hate this job so much that they feel the need to anonymously post bad/untrue things on this website. I will start by saying this is the best job I've ever had. It's an 8-5 Monday- Friday job with OPTIONAL overtime. Not only is it the most welcoming environment I've probably ever been in, but it also has the coolest people I've ever met. The CEO of the company works in office with us and praises people daily for exceeding past their goals. The director of operations is always (literally always) in a great mood, which I feel reflects on everyone else. I've never not wanted to come into work. You are held responsible for the work you do daily, and you have potential to receive a raise every 3 months based on that work. Again, this is the best job I've ever had. All the other reviews I have read on here are fowl and are written in poor taste.

Cons

There aren't too many cons to this job. The workload can be a bit much sometimes, but if you are ever feeling overworked, there is always someone to talk to or even take some work off your hands.
