Pros

The people that make up this company are some of the most talented, intelligent, and creative professionals I have ever had the pleasure to work with; from entry-level up to lower management. Great earning potential.

Cons

No idea what goldmine of data they are sitting on and no idea of how to take advantage of what they could learn from it. Laid off a third of the company in a rushed restructuring of the contact center that was not informed by the data we generated and assessed. The rushed transition of the entire business model. Late to the subscription game. Ignored all the pilot programs initiated to assess how to proceed with restructuring/biz model transition. That resulted in a dragnet approach to throw every offering at the customers, worsening their experience, seeing a huge dropoff in sales, and demoralizing of the great people and talent that was winning with customers by being consultative and having their best interests at heart. Those of us that survived the restructure were praised by leadership as being the cream of the crop yet ignore our concerns and ideas for a path to help LZ win again.

Pros

It was great working here when I first started years ago. The atmosphere in the office was fun and competitive. It truly felt like Legalzoom cared about its employees and wanted us to do well at our jobs. I loved working with the people there and made quite a few life-long friendships. Even the leadership team felt like mentors.

Cons

- Price increases of 3x the amount to existing customers account without proper notification. This causes customers to become irate. - They issued salary cuts during the pandemic, while simultaneously raising revenue goals. Because the goals were so high, you had to CONSTANTLY work OT. - LZ refuses to properly staff their customer care team. Therefore, the customers begin calling the sales line for assistance. Managers instruct you to transfer these calls back to CC, but customers do not want to wait 2 hours for them to answer. I wish I were exaggerating the wait times, but I am not. Get used to de-escalating these calls. -Veteran sales reps were expected to perform tasks outside of our roles because certain teams were suffering. And yet, they had taken away all the pay raises we had earned over the years.
I had faith for a long time that things would improve here, thinking the company was just going through some growing pains. Unfortunately that was not the case. There is only so long I can do the work of several positions while making less and less money. At the end of they day, I was being taken advantage of, so I quit.
 And so did MANY others.
