Pros

Goals are not in step with the market but if you can find a way to hit or exceed them you will be paid very well.

Cons

You are treated worse than a dog at this place. You might think these sites are a place that generates negative reviews for people to vent. But look at the overall ranking of various companies Facebook-4.5 Roche-3.5 J & J-3.5 Siemens-3.4 Leica-2.6 Danaher-2,4 This site does reflect quality companies. In Leica's case the only company ranked lower than Leica is the parent company Danaher. You need to do yourself a favor and walk, no run, if they come knocking with a job opportunity until the current management team is gone.

Pros

Great products, pay is decent. Leica succeeds better in histology division over microscope division. Leica Bond IHC stainer the best in the business.

Cons

Poor management. It seems like every 6 - 8 months they always have changes in management. Every new manager thinks they are going to reinvent the wheel. Because of constant turn around in management they never reach their long term goals. I worked there for 5 years and had 9 different regional managers.

Highly innovative and top of the line products. Intelligent and motivated people are really dedicated to company's success.

Cons

Demanding (perhaps unrealistic?) targets that cause you to work long hours, perhaps doing double work. Big company with complex structures that management accepts (for perhaps historical and political reasons) instead of streamlines it
