Pros

great work opportunities. The ability to work on exciting and important projects which have a real impact in today's defense arena. Lower and middle management is stellar to work with, great relationships within the team environment. In most cases, the salaries are quite competitive, however, as with any government contracting job, the work is not always stable and the company can only do so much, based on the terms of the contract.

Cons

Since the split from SAIC, things have gone down hill quickly, in terms of fringe benefits. Starting in CY 2013, the change to the health insurance program has been the biggest hit to morale. Very high deductible HSA catastrophic style plans which only offer moderate coat share after the very high deductible is met - including RX. The changes to the 401K are disappointing as well. The previous company match up to 6% was good, not great, but it was dependable. Now they match 50% up to the first 6% (read 3%) and make an annual contribution of 2% at the end of the year, for all employees, regardless of whether they participate in the 401K during the year. These changes yield you a net 5% match, but you miss out on the opportunity to earn interest on the extra 2% throughout the year. Additionally, if you leave the company prior to the award of the bonus 2% at the end of the year, then you miss out on it completely. Overall, the split from SAIC has not seemed positive, from a line employee perspective.
