      I love my job but find my employer frustrating

      Pros

      Flexible low stress work as a therapist. We don’t take notes or do any paperwork. This is a fun way to work with kids.

      Cons

      When Leidos obtain the contract for military family life counseling, they offered me a significant pay decrease from the previous company had paid me to do the same job. other words to continue doing my job that I have done through Magellan health, and continue working at the same school I had worked at, I was forced to take less pay than I had been making. I was able to negotiate a little bit but at a certain point they said they would not negotiate with us. I love my job and the clients I work with, I have felt extremely disrespected and undervalued by Leidos as a company.

      Pros

      Large stable company with a powerful team of scientists able to continue winning contracts. The company draws on a long legacy of experience and key personel who have stayed for 25+ years.

      Cons

      Lack of resources and effective middle management. As responsibilities increase on a project so does your workload due to lack of effective support staff and project management. A PI frequently has to manage their PM, IT, IA, Contracts, Finance, and General support staff at a granular level to avoid basic mistakes leading to significant delays.
