Pros

Great people who try to stay dedicated even though everyone is scared their job will be gone the next day. At the divisional level the direction is good and the right business decisions are attempted to be made.

Cons

The company seems to have little compassion for the employees in regards to long-term plans. At the end of the day, the almighty dollar directs sr management decisions including customer service. The entire workforce goes to work daily for fear of not having a job the next day. As hard as divisional management tries to do the right things...Regional management is a joke and vetoes anything of substance the division tries to do to make progress. Corporate is a leech that siphons all the divisional profits disabling the division from showing profit, in turn impacting any bonuses by management. Then regional and corporate mgt complain that you don't make enough money...but they want you to create enough profits to financially support their dumb business decisions that cost the company millions of dollars. This includes the multi-million dollar bonuses that sr mgt takes while divisional employees haven't seen a pay increase in 3-5 years.

Pros

Benefits are ok. Managers are lenient when it comes to taking time off. Flexible hours..though not big on telecommuting. Projects are exciting..largest in the City of San Francisco.

Cons

Lots of office politics. Poor communication between managers and staff. No end of year bonuses, no raises in almost five years. Lots of favoritism. A lot of under-qualified staff allowed to get away with doing less work than others. Good performance and attitude is not rewarded and barely acknowledged...whereas bad performance and bad attitudes are coddled and given preference. Morale is generally in the gutter. Gossipy office...semi-toxic environment. There are a few staffers who play the race card and get away with it at every turn. Some staffers manage their "side businesses" during company hours.

Pros

I was proud to sell the homes, they are well built and the construction superintendants took great pride in their work. I never had a buyer who was dissapointed in the quality of their new home.

Cons

Upper management made important decisions about our lives (such as transferring us from community to community) without involving us, or even giving us a few options to choose from. Compensation was changed and we were told to sign the new contract without having any time to look it over.
