Great place to learn how to be a good financial advisor, learn a good process, and establish a book of business. They are great at taking insurance salespeople and turning them into more well-rounded advisers. It's a great place to learn basic financial planning and how to position insurance in a financial plan.

Cons

Bad place to bring asset management business. The operations are staffed by recent college grads. The investment options are not competitive, mostly because the CIO insists on having extremely conservative asset allocations and is probably too preferential to certain managers. The compensation on assets is extremely low. You really have to work on their multilife disability enrollments, which is low compensation prospecting. If you are not able to cross sell these customers, you will struggle.
