Pros
If you don't desire advancement with minimal supervision, this job would be great for you!
Cons
Lack of career development by making all new positions below your salary preventing growth, or the opportunity to retain your base salary on at least seniority or performance based not personal feelings or beauty. If you're hired based on a person's resume, use those skills to build your division, not the good ole boy system as it appears, especially when you surround yourself and promote them while withholding positions from other staff. Lack initiative in change, quoting how they worked the same position 10-15 years ago. So you are stuck providing the same thing- outdated. To complain by having documented proof all remains the same. Lack administrative leadership by removing the ability to transfer to other positions for growth or select in-house staff for new job openings before the public. Then you want this same staff to training them without considering them for the picture.
