Pros

- Well known and much loved, iconic brand - Global Operations/HQ are based in San Francisco - Comparatively, pay is above average

Cons

- Absolutely no work/life balance. The company has done a 360 with regard to this important factor. Used to have flexible schedule with year long "summer hours". Now offered discriminately to employees without equity. 12-14 hour workdays are commonplace. - Little or no "onboarding" or continuing education. "Worker bees" are thrown into the deep end of the pool and expected to keep afloat without a concrete and clearly identified path to success. - Both IT and HR support are outsourced to overseas contractors. The very simplest of tasks or activities are extremely frustrating experience and quite laborious. The company selelcted the least expensive option for HR support and employees must wait up to 72 hours for a reply. - In many areas there is a complete lack of professionalism. Profanity is thrown about casually and loud hip hop is blasted from Designers' desktops. - Extremely "top heavy" and seriously understaffed at "worker bee" level. "House Cleaning" and fat trimming are long overdue at Management/Director and VP level.

Pros

Fair compensaton package Strong / iconic brand "Tries" to do the right thing socially

Cons

If you are not in the click, don't expect to be promoted or be given interesting work Insular management, many of whom were hired or promoted based on who they know and not what Teamwork, what is that? Promotions and advancement totally based on who's a** you kiss Has a good social image but it is quite different in terms how internal people are treated Revolving door, average tenure is less than 2 years in the finance area, people either quit or are fired

Pros

Good work/ life balance. Great people to work with. Good heritage

Cons

Very little opportunity to advance career. Many people stay in same position for 10 years and are ok with that. I wasn't ok with that as I have ambition. The global reorg could make the company completely fail and has very little regard for global employees.
