Thank you for your feedback, which we sincerely appreciate. We’re happy to see that you recognize the value we offer, but we’d like to correct a few misperceptions in your post…
Liaison pays competitive rates that are virtually identical to what our client companies pay to their own employees. Our clients understand that our markup is added on top of the employee’s wage; it doesn’t come out of the employee’s pocket. And when you compare our markup to what our competitors charge and factor in the cost of our benefits package (health insurance, 401(k), paid leave, etc.) we think you’ll see that we offer a darn good value.
As for our health insurance benefits, they changed substantially this year due to several large claims last year and the ever-rising cost of healthcare. We understand it was an adjustment for our employees, which is why we offer three different plans to choose from, including a high-deductible plan (which is becoming more and more common in the workplace). Again, if you compare our benefits to what our competitors (and even our clients) have to offer, we think you’ll see that they’re comparable.
Regardless, we will certainly work hard this year to continue to educate our employees on ways to keep insurance costs down and encourage participation in our free wellness program.
Our paid leave program offers 18 days of paid time off during employees first year of employment and it increases with tenure. We have always found that to be a competitive offering, but we’ll continue to review our benefits program to make sure they meet or exceed our industry’s standards.
