Pros

Vacation days (flexible time off), ability to work from home, office location

Cons

Toxic work environment--> left feeling unappreciated, undervalued, and uncomfortable, even after 6 months of working there. I felt totally and completely dispensable, as if no one would notice or care if I left despite the enthusiasm and drive I brought to the workplace every day. There was a general feeling of hostility between me and my boss, making honest communication impossible, and above all things stifling creativity and productivity. Most days were spent crying in the bathroom, where at times coworkers would take notice but simply avoid eye contact or walk away. My boss has extremely poor management skills and should not ever deal with interns again. The extreme stress gave way to a stomach ulcer, acute and chronic headaches, and even a resurgence of a high school eating disorder. My personal life suffered as well, where friendships crumbled, I isolated myself, and noticed a general change in my once happy, carefree disposition.

Pros

Good paid time off policy, new parental/bonding leave policy, flexible work options depending on the team, more advancement opportunities at hub locations, increasing focus on diversity and inclusion, education reimbursement and personal development budget

Cons

lack of advancement opportunity for non-hub locations, top down management despite lip service of the opposite, not what you know but who you know, lack of structure and project mgmt discipline leading to a non-transparent culture, role clarity and accountability issues, home office centric/driven directions/decisions (lack of empowerment for folks outside of boston home office)
