Benefits such as retirement and flex time. Large volume of projects and change which may allow you to participate in new areas often, and pick up new skills or experiences to bring with you. Met some good people there that have become friends.
Cons
Large consolidation and on-going layoffs taking place over last few years. Uncertainty and instability for a career. "Throwing the baby out with the bath water" feel. Stepping into instability made it dificult to feel welcome or valued from the start. With so much focus on leadership survival - employees get tangled up in the chaos. Limited communication beyond what was provided or scripted out for the top to deliver to the field/employees outside of the new/revolving leadership in Boston. Truly a solo career path - no sense of team, leadership or employee development for employees beyond the required, scripted review sessions for a performance review. These were one of the good parts of working there...actually having a few minutes of focused, invested dialog that you thought made a difference, until realizing the only reason time was taken was because it was required and nothing comes from requests or goals set during that time! Very Limited transparency...
