Liebherr’s global company may not be a bad company as a whole, but here in the United States I would NOT recommend working for them. The biggest problem is a complete lack of professionalism within some of their management and most of their senior management levels and how they will govern with their feelings or personal beliefs and what is not within the company’s best interest. If you’re part of the “Good Ol’ Boy” network then you’ll be taken care of whether you do your job or not, no matter how bad you mess up in costing the company in revenue or attitude towards others, matters will be covered up, blown off and/or you’ll just be moved to a new position or one will be created for you providing that you’re well liked. If you have a problem and think that you’ll need to go to HR… don’t even bother. The so-called professionals will pick and choose what rules or regulations, (company, state or federal) that they want to enforce and basically hang you out to dry, a truly incompetent department that really doesn’t understand the phrase “Best business practice.” Your initial reaction when first starting will be that of wanting to improve and or make a difference but your effort will get shut down and crushed. Between the continued internal/external departmental squabbling, name-calling and talking behind each other’s backs, you’ll find yourself throwing your hands in the air and start combing the job boards within 6 months due to frustration.
