Pros

You get to work from home.

Cons

This company is a nightmare. They preach mental health while crushing their own staff with micromanaging, low pay, and impossible workloads. Keystrokes tracked, clicks monitored 24/7—like we’re kids who can’t be trusted. Supervisors talk down, ping you constantly, and blame you for everything. People cry in meetings, begging for relief from the avalanche of tasks: spreadsheets, escalated calls, prior auths, insurance verifies—all jammed into one “revenue cycle” role that pays $20/hour no matter what. Yearly raises? A joke. Directors blame employees for bad Facebook reviews instead of fixing the mess. They cut corners, overload departments, and pay way below national average—because they’re cheap. No empathy for burnout, anxiety, or stress. They don’t care about patients or staff. Do NOT apply. If you’re here, get out. This place will wreck you.

Pros

Flexibility in creating your own schedule but even that is a challenge.

Cons

I honestly don’t even know where to begin. Lifestance misled me through the entire hiring process. I have now spoken to many colleagues who had the exact same experience. Late cancel / no shows are sold as being paid but what you don’t learn until later, is that they are paid once the patient chooses to pay it. Insurance and benefits are deplorable. I have serious health issues so opted for the most expensive PPO option and my previous minimal marketplace HMO coverage was honestly significantly better which says a lot. The reception staff is pleasant but pretty underwhelming and incapable, many errors on their end that have a huge impact on provider pay. Lots of talk without follow through. It’s very clear that LifeStance is not patient centered but solely concerned with dollar signs. The provider/LS split is completely unjust especially considering how little support they actually provide.
