Pros

Flexibility with your schedule, no micromanaging, benefits

Cons

Communication! There are always a ton of changes and the communication is delayed. Personally, I had a great experience for the first couple of years and then once I started really discharging clients, it literally took months to get just a couple of clients because my manager left and emailing multiple people for months, no one responded. This went on for years and I stayed because I liked the flexibility but my pay really dipped. Separate from that, I had my schedule cancelled accidentally for the day and lost money then, they overpaid me while on leave and I’m currently having to pay that back in addition to arrears for benefits that no one notified me of. The only reason I even know this is because I had to bug HR after looking at my paycheck. The EHR is the cheapest version of AdvancedMD that constant glitches, doesn’t always save (auto save was only made a feature recently). The system to get more clients also sucks because they will schedule you for intakes at the same time multiple weeks in a row making it impossible to schedule out previous clients for follow up appointments at the same time. We switched to Zoom in the last year but before that, the program we used was horrible with both clients and staff always complaining. It took at least 4 years to change. Lastly, my cost of living raise was 1.9%. A total insult to how long I’ve been with company and not a dent in the actual increase of cost of living. Last year nothing was given.
