Pros

They give you an office

Cons

For starters, the pay is an outright lie. You will NOT likely receive the pay advertised. Their compensation is a joke. Seriously, go anywhere else. Their contract is terrible, if you leave within three years they will make you repay your bonus by withholding it from your next paychecks. You will be paid "state minimum wage" at that point. They do NOT care about you and they don't even pretend to. They don't care about leaving you scrambling to pay bills. Their EHR is a joke and goes down multiple times per day, so good luck doing notes in a timely manner. Stay far, far away from this place. There's a reason there are several lawsuits tied to them. This is the only place l've worked that l've felt actually miserable and trapped. LifeStance is unethical, for both the clinician and the patient. They can't keep front desk staff so if you need support with scheduling, or anything else, you're often on your own or waiting for long periods of time to get assistance. Oh, and they won't give you PTO/sick leave. They only started giving it in my area very recently when the state mandated it. And their offer for it sucked. There's no base salary either. Don't be fooled into thinking there is one. There's no reason to work here if you aren't completely desperate. This is what it looks like when you try to make mental health care into a greedy, corporate game.

Pros

Great clients and the office staff is helpful.

Cons

I have never felt so devalued as an employee. The amount of work that clinicians are expected to do and not get paided for because the burden would fall to clients is wrong. They pay 3 hours of non-facetime to clinicians, when session prep, follow-up, crisis care, consultatings with parents and school counselors and notes take a lot longer. In the past year more documentation requirements and policy changes have been added including restrictions to managing schedules. The company will limit your sessions if you don't finish your documentation within 24 hours. There is Holiday pay for the office executives and office staff, but not for the clinical staff. The company keeps hiring multiple clinicians and not filling the schedules of current clinicians. Managers do not give honest answers to clinicians questions about any of the above. Non-paid mandatory trainings

Pros

Was better before Lifestance bought small practices

Cons

Underpaid, not valued, won’t promote but you need to do your managers job. Wouldn’t recommend. They took over a small practice I was a part of and completely ruined the culture
