Pros

Easy to build your caseload. Supervision available.

Cons

No PTO/sick days for clinicians. Will fire you for reporting HR violations - even if your office manager told you to.

Pros

--It is easy to get clients and keep and maintain a full caseload. --Admin staff is friendly and create a good working environment. --There is flexibility with setting your schedule. --They offer maternity leave (although I haven't utilized it, so I can't comment on the actual benefit).

Cons

--The way that they present the pay in the interview is completely misleading. There are many factors that impact pay including length of sessions, and I was never told that we only get about 1/3 of the late cancel or no show fee that patients pay. I am making less at this job than I was at my community mental health job and many more therapy sessions per week. --Complete lack of clinical support. Part of this is by design of the fee-for-service model. We can't get paid for any consultations or attending consultation groups, but this is detrimental to clinical care as there are very few opportunities to talk with other clinicians and there is no practice of consultation between medication providers and therapists, which is poor clinical care and is harmful to clinician mental health and to patient care. --This may be a quirk of our office--but we cannot personalize our space in any way or leave anything in there. I end up carrying therapy materials and handouts back and forth every day. --Our admin staff is amazing. Great at their jobs and good at handling challenging interactions with patients, but they are severely overworked, which is difficult to see and sometimes impacts the speed at which they can offer support. --The caseload needed to maintain full-time status and earn a decent amount of money is burnout level. Combined with lack of interaction between clinical teammates has me approaching burnout in less than a year. --There doesn't seem to be any opportunity for growth that I am aware of. I was told there are no opportunities to supervise when I asked, and no other growth opportunities have been advertised.

Pros

Setting your own schedule but you have to meet their weekly hours

Cons

No cohesion, upper management over worked and removed, horrible support, pay is low, benefits are not good. NO true care for patient care. All about numbers/data not care. Typical capitalist company trying to dominate the mental health industry and steer it into the gutter with sole focus- monetary..Quickest way to burnout.
