Pros

There are many people at Lifestsnce who are good people, trying to help.

Cons

The culture at LifeStance is truly sick. Most leaders have little to no healthcare experience and devalue the importance of a clinical perspective. Individuals and departments are in constant battle to make themselves seem relevant. Management is too incompetent to differentiate fake / meaningless performance metrics from those that matter. Toxic leaders are retained and even promoted. Not mission driven.

Don't work here.

Pros

autonomy over your own schedule

Cons

Overworked and underpaid, case load is unrealistic, lack of paid time off, lack of admin support. Worst possible type of place to work as a Resident in Counseling. Don't do it. Severely underpaid and overworked, and there are constant changes on the admin side of the company and way too much admin work that clinicians don't get compensated for. There isn't enough organized group supervision / consultation so you will struggle to get your hours. And the meetings that you're required to attend you're obviously not compensated for. It's insane to me that a company built to profit off the mental health / self care industry doesn't have paid time off to support the self care of its own employees. Super problematic. My year working here has been absolutely miserable.
