Pros

Different location everyday, not much work on nights or weekends. The people were pretty nice and photography is the best part of the job.

Cons

As a photographer, they expect you to lug around 200 pounds of their ragged-out, nasty equipment in your personal vehicle. It will fill your trunk as well as back seat. Anyone can easily see the Lifetouch logo on the cases and then break into your car to steal it. The real problem, however, with this company is that not only are you expected to drag all the equipment with you each day, you are expected to arrive no later than 6 am and what you get for all this manual labor is a mere $9.50 per hour!!! Wait, it's only $7.50 per hour for your 2 hour drive to the school and then $9.50 per hour while you're photographing the children. The pay is horrible and totally not worth it. Lifetouch preaches this family values ESOP mentality and then pays the photographers less than you'd make working for Chik-fil-a. Shame on the management. The turnover obviously is very high and the quality of photographers is very low since anyone good will not put up with the low wages. Also, you are expected to drive up to 2 hours each way on any given day. Assignments are not prioritized by your home location. You will put thousands of miles on your own vehicle, wear and tear and you will get paid a mere $7.50 (minimum wage) for your travel time. It's a no-brainer: stay away from this company! Lifetouch will use and abuse you and your car.

Pros

If you like training on photography that won't help you in the future. You can transfer to different branches if you want to work all year. But, church directory is commission base. Preschool is hard and no pay. JcPenny gives no hours. School photography is the only place you can maybe learn something.

Cons

Pays less than McDonald's They lie to you Say bye to your car because of the miles put on and .04 a mile to replace it. In season you have no life working many hours at no pay Out of season you'll have to find a new job unless someone pays your bills for you.

Pros

Company has great upward mobility. It's searching constantly for young leadership. Rewards loyalty and hard work. Great salary opportunity as you progress with company.

Cons

Incredible work load. Constantly pushed to do more with less even though territories are stretched too thin already. Starting wages in field too low to compete in my territory.
