Pros

Talented photographers... Until Lifetouch sucks all drive and creativity out of them

Cons

If I could give less than one star on this review I would. Management was awful. Long days, sometimes up to 12 hours on your feet, sometimes you get a break, often you do not. They don't care about quality, only quantity. The no compete prevents you from any freelance work even after you are no longer employed with them (12 months from end date), as Lifetouch has their hands in every type of photography imaginable (unless you want to shoot porn, which is where they draw the line) Benefits are expensive and awful, even if you manage to qualify for them (which is made impossible to anyone that isn't management by strict enforcement of hour restrictions.

Pros

• Not tied to a desk with someone leaning over your shoulder. • It was a job until something better came along.

Cons

Where to begin ... • Low pay ($12/hour). • No (meaningful) benefits or health insurance. • Only 22 cents/mile mileage reimbursement. • Lots and wear and tear on your car. • They want a ridiculous number of unique images per event. • You will never receive any positive feedback on your work. • You will never feel appreciated or valued. • It's impossible to make plans in your life because you never know when your assignments will be. • When school's not in session (e.g., over the summer, winter and spring breaks), you're out of a job.
