Pros

Great colleagues to work with that care about meeting client needs. Benefits are good.

Cons

Management and Executive Management do not work to develop their current employees to help them grow professionally. They talk about promoting within and then end up hiring for outside. They avoid dealing with uncomfortable situations to find resolve. They provide externally how great their internal culture is, yet do not practice this internally. There are many who work in positions they are not qualified for due to relationships or agreements which prevents professional growth of those who are qualified.

Thank you very much for sharing your feedback. At Lighthouse we take pride in delivering excellent customer service and are continuously working to hire great people. I am pleased you found that to be true. In a growing company like Lighthouse, sometimes the best candidate is internal which is great and supports career development. Other times the best candidate is an external candidate with additional experience and qualifications. The goal will always be to hire the best fit for the role and for the company. It is unfortunate that you had a challenging experience. Our door is always open and we welcome any feedback that may strengthen our organization and support your growth. Please feel free to reach out any time if you’d like to have a conversation offline. Thank you.

Pros

-Got to work with undoubtedly one of the most talented product dev teams in the entire legal tech industry. -See for yourself. Go meet Brian McManus. You'll feel like you're besties afterwards. I've met him 3 times and wish I still worked for him to this day. -A real tech company through and through. They are making mistakes hallmarked of tech companies currently, but if you're a tech (data) professional who is trapped in place of technical non-growth, you can grow here. -Big ups to the C-Suite. This is a place where the best minds are the thought leaders. David Binder has the ability to ease during a 100 year pandemic by speaking in well-articulated financial terms.

Cons

-Log your hours. "it's not for (insert any xyz), it's for monetization"... but hey *cough *cough .... I know you were sick .... but why did you only work 38 hours last week ? -If you're in Phoenix, consider yourself HARD NOT Seattle. That's just the macro culture. Upper Lighthouse rates, Lower Lighthouse ... well it could be worse. -Phoenix office leadership exemplifies derision and ego, not much honor to be found. Lot's of friendliness, not much honor. -Management for the sake of management. Anyone can hire for management role, anyone. Knew of a technical software dev manager who didn't know how to use "J-I-T-H-U-B" or what a SQL Join was even though clearly labeled on resume (or that it's Github)... Regularly insisted on quick maths like "31-10 = 18" and would become defensive if you corrected them. Yet was defended by local Phoenix leaders as 'a good hire' even though every single lighthouse employee at the holiday party could not believe they were given the job. -The new office, just sucks. No amount of plastic plants, garbage coffee, and snack machines can fix that suckness. (but you are currently free from that burden). Have fun trying to block that future noise out with your $6 headset.
