Not my job

Pros

- The Pros here are shrinking all the time.

Cons

-Never have I ever encountered so many people who get away with, and are rewarded for saying, "it's not my job". If you enjoy begging people to do the bare minimum or help you with a task because you are buried, this is the place for you. - Employees, for the most part, have a zero tolerance attitude here towards learning new skills or understanding how different departments here can be engaged to ultimately create a successful outcome for a client - It's a bit concerning when employees can tell you the last live show they saw in Seattle, all the names of the band members, their history, the DNA makeup of their children, the set list for their last 40 shows, and how many live shows they've done and exactly which venue they played at but they can't recall a simple eDiscovery workflow they've been exposed to repeatedly...over...and over....and over......and over.....and over again. What's more frustrating is when they get a raise due to it because they "fit with Lighthouse's culture" - Go read the book "Five Dysfunctions of a Team". Lighthouse is living, breathing proof of that every single day. - People are promoted here based on the fact that they showed up the day before and the day before that. Hardly any of it is based on actual leadership potential. - The abuse of Flex PTO is RAMPANT! Worst thing ever invented. - If you are of minority status, check that box when you apply, because you will be a SHOE IN! Lighthouse can't get enough. Nevermind actually hiring people on merit, they've gotta check those diversity and inclusion boxes! - If I have to hear one more thing about how the "reduction in force" at beginning of 2023 wasn't "fair", and was "harsh" and "we didn't even get to say goodbye to people", I'm gonna lose my mind. This is work. You come into work to do a job. It's not an after-hours quilting circle.

Pros

Lighthouse management is extremely communicative and transparent with all company decisions. There is actual support for team members and the compensation for employees is very competitive. The training provided is top notch and there are multiple opportunities for additional training of all kinds. You are encouraged to grow as a person. The upper management doesn't just say that you are valued. You feel valued. The culture of the company also encourages diversity at all levels. It's one of the first times in my many years of employment that I see leadership support and lift up people who have traditionally been marginalized or ignored and they do this on every level of the company. Lighthouse is serious about maintaining a life/work balance as well.

Cons

Due to the shifting that occurs in litigation, there are times when the number of projects or scope of the projects is shifted. There could be a better plan in place to accommodate for these kinds of times before it becomes an issue.
