Pros

Easy work life balance at times. Everyone is friendly (that aren’t managers or VPs) and will to lend a helping hand

Cons

Lack of trust in the organization with its new CEO on board and current VPs. They don’t follow their core values as they say they do. Will tell you one thing by saying you were or are being promoted to being laid off the next day.

Pros

I would love to be able to say that working for Lighthouse provided us with the security that we knew even though we weren't making the most aggressive salaries, that the company always put the team ahead of corporate profits. Well...we can't say that anymore, leadership recently changed at lighthouse, and after the CEO explicitly told everyone in an all company meeting that there would be NO layoffs...guess what...they laid off 7.5% of the company. The new leadership at Lighthouse is not worth being loyal to anymore, as they have shown that loyalty at Lighthouse is a one way street. What I can say was good at Lighthouse was the PTO offering, they let us use take enough PTO under their unlimited PTO program so that work life balance was a fair trade.

Cons

One area where Lighthouse has always been a little bit soft has been in compensation. They never quite paid market rates, typically 10-15% under market. That used to be offset with job security, in that the company had never had a mass layoff event. This unfortunately is no longer the case. Lighthouse hired a new CEO, Ron Markezich, and 3 months after literally telling all employees during an all hands meeting that Lighthouse wouldn't be laying staff off...the "difficult decision" was made to terminate 7.5% of the company. No mention of potentially absorbing this downturn from shareholder returns as was the company culture for the last 20 years. No mention of the executive teams taking a haircut...nope, just cut the team. Lighthouse has given up its position of being an employer you can put roots down at. No longer is the kind of job security that made up for the pay rates being less than market rates. Another area where Lighthouse has slid is in the trust between leadership and the employees. With the most recent shuffle at the top, and the subsequent changes...it has become clear that leadership doesn't hold any stock in the company culture that has been built over the last 20 or so years. The culture that made Lighthouse one of the best places in the world to work...is gone.

Pros

Flexible work and the schedule remains remote and will likely do so forever.

Cons

The pay is horrible for the job expectations. I have another couple jobs lined up in legal departments of large banks and I cannot get out soon enough.
