Pros

As a sales rep here, if you can build relationships, understand technology and are willing to travel a lot, you can make good money and it's easy to keep your customers happy with solid products. The people are cool and usually helpful as long as you catch on quick and don't keep asking the same questions over and over. Unlike everywhere else I've worked, the sales and marketing departments actually work together a lot and marketing will help you do things like custom email campaigns, events, notes to your customers - just about anything - without jumping through a bunch of hoops. That definitely helps with keeping your funnel full. And even though you're expected to work hard, everybody likes to have fun too. Beers on the road or on Friday afternoons in the office, nerf gun battles, that kind of thing.

Cons

Sometimes things move so quick it's hard to keep things straight. Generally you have a lot of balls to juggle, and it's on you to keep them all in the air.

Pros

-Very supportive work environment with hands-on training and growth opportunities -Good mix of independent and collaborative work -Fun and rewarding projects that impact the company in a real, tangible way -Great coworkers + collaboration with other departments common -Recognition given for hard work from higher-ups -Catered lunch every Friday from local Austin restaurants! -Flexible work from home days -Fully stocked kitchen with groceries, snacks and drinks -Opportunities to travel/attend large tradeshows and events

Cons

Not many cons at Lightspeed! Some words of advice: -Tight deadlines and last-minute tasks out of your control are occasional -- be on your toes and ready to pitch in every day. Everyone works together to get the job done and your hard work is noticed. -It can be difficult to get approvals/answers right away from team members who are often traveling -- be proactive and give yourself extra time to get the job done. -Some independent projects may be more open ended or open to interpretation than others -- ask questions, and don't be afraid to dive in and give it your best shot! Independent work that's thorough and thought out is recognized.

Pros

Fantastic teamwork and respect for everyone at all levels of the company. Everyone does whatever is needed to get things done.

Cons

Minimal advancement opportunities. But the organization is very flat, so this is not really a big deal.
