Pros

Very good 401k & competitive salaries. Medical benefits are decent.

Cons

Micro-management is prevalent in certain divisions and departments, and turnover is increasing rapidly. It has become a who you know rather than what you know company.

Pros

Enjoy the flexible hours and the work is different everyday. Leadership is hands off and lets employee take ownership of their work. LES also provides a lot of professional development opportunities.

Cons

Does not take full advantage of employees past experiences and tends to pigeon hole employees in one career field.

Pros

Amazing benefits. Great HR team. Alternative work arrangements available with one-two days per week remotely after probation. Great facilities. Up-to-date technology. Development opportunities along with tuition reimbursement (up to around $5k/year).

Cons

My manager was an extreme micromanager and was simply rude and condescending. She consistently "changed her mind" about many processes, which resulted in myself and many others redoing our work several times. During my interview process, I spoke about how my former position provided a lot of flexibility and reiterated how important that was to me. I was told it was the same and that I would have tons of flexibility, especially because this is a salaried position. When I started, I was told how we could take longer lunches, flex out time, etc. But shortly after, I was reprimanded for coming in "five minutes late" although I had been staying later, putting on my coat two minutes before the "end time," etc. This confused me, as again - I am a salaried employee who gets the work done. HR made it clear that LES is all about flexibility, especially for salaried employees, but my manager was not okay with any flexibility whatsoever. I quit solely because of her, otherwise I could have seen myself staying at LES for the remainder of my career.
