      Pros

      good pay, family atmosphere, opportunities for advancement, generally good management at all levels (from the top down), good benefits and hours

      Cons

      government regulation of the industry can cause headaches, and although they are overcoming those, it can be worrisome and there is not enough support from upper management to make you feel secure. i was told i would get a raise one week and then was laid off 3 weeks later

      Pros

      It is a specialized niche in Higher education Opportunities to raise the level of student expectations and readiness for workforce Many ways to affect development of peers, academic and staff. Huge potential for the organization to develop into a premier respected and competitive college/career school.

      Cons

      Changes occur rapidly and often without adequate consultation/information. Strategy for growth is not promoted and celebrated. Tendency to micromanage. The brand name does not live up to itself...Technology is inadequate at best. Little effort to share/exploit learning of its professionals. Pay scale is lower than many competitors, especially non-profit and other Higher Ed colleges. Too many reports, often redundant, and to a degree requiring excessive oversight of student motivations and attendance.

      The salary is fairly decent

      Cons

      Incompetent management, Training= Read this manual, then do the job..oh, and by the way, your evaluation will begin your first day!, leads are distributed based on favoritism, management wants you to practically live at the job.
