Pros

Working with amazing children and helping them to learn, and hearing feedback from parents of children for whom the program worked.

Cons

The management at this company is almost exclusvely concerned with net profit. As a result, employee training, quality assurance, and the espoused corporate culture all fall by the wayside to pack students into their centers and seasonal locations. Honest communication with senior management is not fostered or encouraged.

Pros

Good for a summer job, or as a part-time thing in the evenings.

Cons

As of this writing (November 2017), a company-wide memo was sent out announcing immediate wage slashing. An entirely hectic and chaotic scheduling system. In the 9 months I have been here, the schedule format has changed 3 times, becoming increasingly more confusing. I understand that the schedule is going to adjust regularly due to the nature of this business (families cancelling the day's instruction, clinicians calling out sick, etc.) But oftentimes I find myself obsessively checking the schedule multiple times in a single hour. While corporate likes to constantly reference "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" as a metaphor for customer service, I more inclined to view the head office in terms of "The Wizard of Oz" - The Man Behind the Curtain.

Pros

Consultants are trained to use the Lindamood Bell materials Children are fun to work with and do generally make progress

Cons

-High expectations for low pay and little respect -Unpaid lunch meetings (not technically mandatory, but was told, "if you care, you will go") -Parents are made to feel that they "need" this and that without LMB their children will not improve. They are even encouraged to take out loans if they cannot afford it (and few can at over $100/hr). -Unprofessional Management: I have not had such bad management since I was in high school. I was never given any constructive criticism, but was given a negative review when I left. I would have been happy to change any of these issues if any of the were brought to my attention! -Sr. Management talks down to staff and belittles them at meetings.
