Overall, a Good Experience

Pros

Pay was competitive; work was varied and often challenging and stimulating; worked with really nice people; work related travel was interesting and fun; and benefits were good.

Cons

A little political in some areas of the company; if you aren't extraverted and assertive you'll struggle to make connections outside of your division; working in the Hollywood office was tough to get in and out of during summer months and holidays do to traffic and special events.

Pros

Worker bees work hard! Great product and great artists. If you just hang out you can make a career of doing the bare minimum.

Cons

No one listens to music and this is the leader in live entertainment? Literally every floor is crickets. NO MUSIC coming from any offices. The majority of the corporate staff on the fourth floor are occupying space. Arrive around 10am. Depart by 6pm. Take every holiday. Most of the staff on 2 and 3 have no idea who the powers are on 4. CEO spends too much time reading management manuals. Never saw the COO. CCO spends too much time gossiping about staff. Never saw the CFO. Not one exec on 4 goes to 2 or 3. No one on 4 attends lobby events.

Pros

enjoyed the work and co workers

Cons

management is horrible on the local and regional level. The CEO is great about overall benefits package but the company overlooks the poor management. I think the answer is always "we can easily find someone to replace you" - rather than considering the fact that long term employees are extremely valuable. When I was interviewing, I had 3 different companies say "well, if you've survived Live Nation, you can survive anything." It is obvious that the reputation is bad management.
