Great Company With Great Growing Pains

Pros

LiveRamp offers a lot of responsibility and autonomy and a relatively flat hierarchical structure. The company grows leaders from within and takes that value very seriously, meaning there's plenty of room for upward career mobility. The people here are kind and intelligent.

Cons

The company's rapid growth has led to junior to senior head count imbalances, too many managers that aren't meant to manage, and large organizational silos. It feels like many of the orgs inside LiveRamp are competing with each other for resources and budget allocation. The growth of leaders from within is also a con. A lot of the management layer at LiveRamp has only ever worked at LiveRamp which can cause proliferation of bad management practices.

While we have a culture of growing leaders from within, we also recognize we have to balance that with bringing in external leaders that can help us scale the business. In fact over the past two years, we have brought in more external leaders to the business than ever before while still being able to show people internally exciting growth paths. Pros

Liveramp provides a very encouraging environment to get work done, grow professionally and personally. The company develops a complex and unique product with a lot of potential for future growth. Working here is challenging, rewarding, and fun at the same time. A place where the CEO(s) is as approachable as any other employee.

Cons

Shares the growing pains of any midsize company trying to maintain hypergrowth.
