Toxic environment, lacks direction

Pros

Decent tech stack, people aiming to learn well Smart and helpful colleagues Pay benefits are pretty standard

Cons

Management has favoritism, prefer "yes men" and workaholics than people with opinions and ideas. People who work hard gets more workload! Engineering spends a lot of time just fixing issues. Clients have many complaints. Product lacks direction, is complex and has lots of similar services. Process is disorganized between regions. Lots of silos. US team work on flagship products but other regions get left behind. High attrition rate, massive layoffs. The ones left don't get proper replacements and left with additional workload.

Cons

Execs are clueless about technology Execs only want bootlickers, not talent Execs are all about power grabbing and want yes men instead of talent VP or Infrastructure is a two-faced liar Wasted tons of money on resources Hired mostly bootlickers Promotional is nothing but a dream

good comp, work life balance - no accountability and overly political

Pros

*good comp *good work life balance

Cons

*promotions are a popularity contest - if your manager likes you enough, career progression is easy. Otherwise, good luck *no long term strategy -company has a 90 degree pivot every 2-3 years *no culture - management has a 'do as I say, not as I do' mentality *only the specific projects/efforts prioritized by the executive team are worked on and incentivised. This makes it so everyone jumps on the same things and no one collaborates.
