Pros

- There are some very smart and capable people working hard to get things done - Great work/life balance - Decent benefits

Cons

- Management lacks visions, and are unable to inspire employees - Spending $$$$s to acquire startups instead of investing $$s to empower employees to get the same things done. - Many in the higher managements have LR as their sole experience. Leading to complacency, narrow visions, and tendency to promote people based on tribal politics rather than talent. - Incompetent people hanging onto their jobs due to legacy tech / tech debt. They are protected by management due to politics. - Layers of managements sugarcoating real problems into oblivion. - Problems are obviously reflected in recent stock declines. Coupled with pay freeze, employees feel underpaid and obviously causing a lot of attrition

Pros

-Such flexible PTO, work hours. You'll never feel bad if you just need to take day to unwind -Get to touch many different aspects of the development process -Managers want to see and help you grow -Good people work here -Overall, a good day-to-day job

Cons

-Tech leadership seems to be deaf to engineer concerns -Huge number of senior engineers have left in last few months (concerning) -Unnecessary restructuring of teams leading to knowledge loss and low morale -Been waiting months for the "new" guidance for promotions/growth -We allow large clients to basically do what they want with our tech, which makes maintaining it more difficult -A huge amount of knowledge is needed to even get a sliver of understanding about what we do -Like any tech company, diversity is very low

Fellow LiveRamper - Thanks for sharing your experience—and as importantly, for all your work helping scale our platform. On the topic of the engineer job level/growth schema: It's a complex project that I know our CTO wants to do well vs. quickly, with the goal of shipping at the end of this quarter. I'm sure that he'd welcome questions or ideas on this topic, or on your broader reflection about changes on your team. As we say: feedback is fuel. Thanks again for raising these points. - Brandon

Teammate - Thanks for sharing your experience. Let me know if you'd like to talk through the challenges you've noted; they run counter to our culture and our reputation and are worth exploring further. My [virtual} door is open anytime. Meanwhile, hope you're doing okay in NYC and thanks for all your work helping our customers during these unusual times. - Brandon
