Pros

Decent pay and good work, life balance. Interesting work on leading-edge technology. Generally good people to work with. Supportive management.

Cons

Too much bureaucracy, sometimes hard to get requests through the approval process. Feels like following the process is more important than getting the work done.

Pros

The company name makes it sound as if you're working on something cutting edge or highly advanced. A majority of the work is from legacy designs from 20+ years ago. Benefits arent bad, not to say they're great, 401K matches half, no more pensions though. Some people are nice and easy to get along with, others will stab you in the back to get promoted, I've seen it happen.

Cons

Poor overall leadership. Too many managers and leads with similar job functions. The company itself promotes work-life balances, however the managers that you have to report to does not. The company uses technology that is so archaic that it only displays things in green and black. Takes forever to get anything done with the current processes they have implemented. Too much process kills creativity. Lack of employee appreciation. And high level management will still get their year end bonuses when they had layoffs, while regular employees never get any bonuses.

Pros

not overworked flexible schedule interesting products good public reputation tuition reimbursement program

Cons

declining industry (people in the US are tired of spending so much on defense) highly secretive annual review system where 70% of employees get the same small raise each year few promotions overall atmosphere of mediocre / sub-par engineers who just want a paycheck management will routinely lie to you very high attrition medical benefits were replaced by a cheap HMO plan under Aetna. no stock purchase program unless you are an exec.
